Hi again,

I'm having problems with the "snapshot" option in the Main Window of
the SPARK GUI. I'm getting the following error:

Exception in thread "AWT-EventQueue-0" java.lang.NoSuchMethodError:
org.spark.runtime.external.render.Render.takeSnapshot(Ljava/lang/
String;Ljava/io/File;)V
at

at java.awt.EventDispatchThread.pumpEvents(Unknown Source)
at java.awt.EventDispatchThread.pumpEvents(Unknown Source)
at java.awt.EventDispatchThread.run(Unknown Source)

Does anybody know how can I fix this?

Also, I didn't find any info about what exactly the snapshot option
does. I'm looking for a way to be able to save the simulation state in
a file so that I can open it later and "resume" the simulation. Is
there a way to do this.

Thanks again,

Best,

Tomas

Hi Tomas,

In the SPARK GUI the "snapshot" is the same as "screenshot". This
option allows to save a picture of the current simulation state.
Probably, you are using an outdated version of SPARK where this
feature was not implemented completely. In the current version, it
should work.

Right now, it is not possible to save the simulation state in SPARK.
It was possible in older versions, but then the internal structure of
SPARK became more complicated and this feature was disabled. Saving/
resuming simulation state is very important, so this feature will be
implemented in SPARK soon.

Best,
Alexey
