Anybody running (working on) Spark on Windows?

Hey,
Do any of you run Spark on Windows? If so, could you describe briefly which version of windows you use? I am not sure if it would better to try and get a copy of Windows server or Windows 7 or 8 (to emulate a developer's build process) or maybe it wouldn't make much of a difference?
Thoughts?
I've been thinking about trying to get a Windows box running in the AMPLab Jenkin's instance as a build worker.

Also, if we wanted to use Windows Server, does anybody know if MS offer a free version of it to Universities?
