Any plan to support Kafka 0.8 in Spark Streaming

Hi all and TD,

Is there any plan to update Kafka to 0.8 for Spark Streaming, since 0.8 adds some new features like multiple log directories and replication. Also 0.8 can compile against 2.9.2, less pain to update :-)

I searched the user group, seems some guys have done transplanting Kafka 0.8 to Spark Streaming, I'm not sure about the progress, is it available now?
