Voters will be able to use the online absentee application to request absentee ballots for the 2024 state primary and general elections starting May 15. Alternatively, use one of the downloadable applications below.

Returning your ballot in person
You can return your ballot in person no later than 8 p.m. on Election Day to the election office that sent your ballot. You can drop off ballots for up to three other voters. You will need to show identification with name and signature when returning a ballot for someone else. Some voters may also return it in one of the designated ballot drop box locations. You may not drop your ballot off at your polling place on election day.

Your agent can pick up your ballot starting seven days before the election until 2 p.m. on Election Day. Your agent or someone else you designate must return your ballot to the same elections office by 3 p.m. on Election Day. You can also return your ballot by mail. Election officials must receive your ballot on or before Election Day.

You will need a witness when you vote and complete your ballot. The witness can be either a registered Minnesota voter or a notary. Your witness must sign the signature envelope and list their address. Notaries should write their name and title, sign the signature envelope, and affix their notary stamp.

Local election officials must check that you and your witness filled out the signature envelope correctly. If you did not fill out the signature envelope correctly, election officials will mail you replacement materials, including an explanation for why your signature envelope was rejected. Or, if there are fewer than five days before Election Day, election officials will try to contact you. In this case, you can vote in person at your local election office or at your polling place on Election Day.

If you have received an absentee ballot but are unsure if it will arrive at your election office in time to be counted, you may also consider contacting your local election official to see what options you have for locations and times to drop off your absentee ballot.

You can ask the election office that sent your ballot for a replacement ballot. If there is not enough time to get a new ballot, completely cross out the name of the candidate you accidentally marked. Then mark the candidate you prefer. Do not initial your corrections.

Contact your county election office. You can receive a replacement ballot in person or by mail. The election official will cancel your original ballot. Do not return your original ballot, even if you eventually find or receive it. Only return your replacement ballot.

You can ask to cancel your ballot until the close of business 19 days before Election Day. After that time, you cannot cancel your ballot. To cancel your ballot, contact the election office that sent your ballot. Your options are to have a new ballot mailed; vote in person at your local election office; or vote at your polling place on Election Day.

You can have absentee ballots sent to your residential address before each election. Register to vote (even if your name and address have not changed) and mark the box to request an absentee ballot be sent to you before all upcoming elections you're eligible to vote in. Ballots are usually mailed about 46 days before an election.

When you renew by mail or in person, you must submit your most recent passport(s) with your application. We will return your most recent passport book or card in a separate mailing. The most recent passport may not arrive for up to 8 weeks after you get your new passport. Learn below what document to submit based on what you want to renew:

Get My Passport Fast: If you are traveling in less than 3 weeks, make an appointment to renew in person at a passport agency or center. Your appointment must be within 14 calendar days of your travel date.

No. If you are renewing your passport with Form DS-82, acceptance facilities will not take your application. Acceptance facilities should never charge you a $35 fee for renewing your passport. These locations should only charge you a $35 fee if you are applying using Form DS-11.

You must mail in your renewal application (Form DS-82) yourself. Mailing your Form DS-82 can be confusing since some post offices are also passport acceptance facilities. Postal employees should not review your form and supporting documents before you mail it.

Yes. If your family member or spouse is also renewing a passport, you may want to send multiple applications in the same envelope. You can pay for the applications using one check or money order. Make sure to add up the correct fees for multiple applications.

Passport Book: You may get your new passport and citizenship documents in two mailings. You may wait 8 weeks after getting your passport before you get a second mailing with your citizenship documents. We will return the passport book using a trackable delivery service.

Passport Card: You may get your new passport card and your citizenship documents in two mailings. You may wait 8 weeks after getting your passport before you get a second mailing with your citizenship documents. We only send the passport card via First Class Mail. We do not send cards using 1-2 day delivery services.

If you want us to reimburse you for a lost supporting document, you must contact us within 90 days of the date which we mailed your passport. You will also need to provide a receipt to show the cost of replacing the document.

When your application is at the intake facility, your application status will show as "Not Available" if you check our Online Passport Status System. Your application will be "In Process" once a passport agency or center begins processing your new application.

Note: If messages are not received, try using a LF (\n) only. Some Unix mail transfer agents (most notably qmail) replace LF by CRLF automatically (which leads to doubling CR if CRLF is used). This should be a last resort, as it does not comply with RFC 2822.

Note: The SMTP implementation (Windows only) of mail() differs in many ways from the sendmail implementation. First, it doesn't use a local binary for composing messages but only operates on direct sockets which means a MTA is needed listening on a network socket (which can either on the localhost or a remote machine).

Note: It is worth noting that the mail() function is not suitable for larger volumes of email in a loop. This function opens and closes an SMTP socket for each email, which is not very efficient.

I didn't know what to expect as I just clicked on an ad, but...this is so well done and the personalized touches make it really special. My 7 year-old daughter loved the fairy tale mystery that she was the hero of. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this for young mystery solvers and it is so nice to have her excited about something outside of a screen that uses her imagination.

We did the time travel mystery. The thought, detail and time put into this product was far beyond my expectations. So well thought out, well executed, professional and age appropriate. I would highly recommend for kids/families who enjoy solving a mystery step by step with creative and fun problem solving. The solutions didn't come quickly and were just the right amount of challenge. I just kind of stumbled across this product and now it will be out go-to present for relatives. Also, I haven't reviewed anything online in probably five years so that should help show my exuberance here.

My twin daughters were gifted "The Case of the Missing Bigfoot" and loved it! A great mix of easy enough yet challenging. I believe it would be fun for all ages. I felt like a kid again helping them with it (not sure if I was helping, or was I just excited to participate!?). I really think it was neat how you get packages mailed to your home. We couldn't wait to check the mail each day, waiting for our next clues! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun time. We look forward to doing more of these in the future! Thank you so much!

My niece and nephew gave up their screen time for 3 days to plow through their mystery. My nephew is 9 and thought it was 'real' so my sister in law couldn't bear to tell him it was his birthday gift.
Happy to be the cool aunt who gifted their favourite present this year

And in fact I have. This is the fourth time I have order the "Treasure Hunt!" mystery. I have completed the mystery with my daughter and given as gifts and now doing it with a set of brothers. Their eyes light up when they see the package. I love the educational aspect and the puzzles. It is a great introduction to a host of topics and such a great alternative to a screen!! Mail Order Mystery does a great job with the pay-off of sticking with the mystery.

"Best Christmas present ever" was my 8 year-ol grandson's review. The clues and ciphers were challenging but not overwhelming. The story was fun to follow. The quality of the resources was amazing and the final reveal was a big hit. Thank you!

My six-year-old son is currently receiving Treasure Hunt! mailings. He has received four letters so far. He is very proud that he has been able to decode the secret messages (with a little help from me and his older sister) and is thrilled to know that one of our ancestors was a pirate. He is eager for the next installment, and I have to admit I'm curious to know how the story ends, too!

My 9 year old daughter loved every minute of it and had a difficult time waiting to receive the next mailing. She was super happy and proud when she received the last mailing. Thank you. This is a wonderful product worth every penny. More?

Great experience for my kid, and really any kid just learning to read and learning how mail works. Had no idea a fancy memento would arrive at the end of it, and the opportunity to send a note to one of the protagonists was a stroke of genius. Real value for the money.
