It happens when i press play through curseforge. It attempts to update the launcher immediately and then fails about 3/4 of the way through. Ive tried running the regular launcher and it updates just fine. Any ideas?
I installed curseforge and a mod, but when it launches the modded minecraft launcher it asks me to pick a name, when I input my username it says it's taken, yet when I close the launcher and open it via windows, it doesn't ask me to put a username in, and I have the username I'm trying to put in the curseforge launcher (yes it's 100% the same microsoft account)
Simple, Title says it all - The "Ad box" being attached to the right side of the launcher is quite frustrating and takes up a lot of room, As someone who uses the CurseForge platform to publish mods and is often working on a few things at once, I like to have everything tidy and resized adequatly.
Where when working with the curseforge app resizing everything resizes the ad space along with it (go figure). What I am proposing doesn't "Remove" the ad space but simply re-homes it at the bottom of the launcher instead.
I've attached an image of a concept design for this and I personally think it would go a long way for this - Even if you're not doing multiple things at once the launcher is quite chonky with the ad space on the side.
Overview
The CurseForge Launcher RAM pertains to the allocation of system memory (RAM) when using the CurseForge launcher, a widely used tool for managing and playing Minecraft modpacks. Properly configuring RAM settings is essential for optimal performance, particularly when running modded versions of the game with resource-intensive mods. Users can adjust the RAM allocation within the CurseForge launcher to ensure a smooth gameplay experience, taking into account the specific modpack and their computer's capabilities.
How To Allocate More Ram in the CurseForge Launcher
Step 1. From the CurseForge launcher, choose the Settings button.
Step 2. Under Game Specific, select Minecraft.
Step 3. Under Allocated Memory, drag the slider to the desired amount.
Overwolf (CurseForge) and Technic are both alternative launchers. Once you download and install either simply search for the modpack, install it and hit the play button. It is however highly recommended to use the Overwolf/CurseForge launcher, as it causes far less issues and is much easier to work with. It will also allocate the right amount of RAM required for the modpack right off the bat, which Technic will not do. Generally speaking, Technic should only be used by those already experienced with it.
When you click play, the Minecraft launcher will show up. After this, you can hit play. After hitting play, Minecraft will boot up. Be patient, as this is a modpack, which means it will take longer to boot up.
Step by step instructions on how to install manually RLCraft. This method works with the original minecraft launcher and should also work with other launchers, but depending on which one you use the steps may vary.
