Calendar Cleaner: Cannot Delete Events

CC tells me that "This event has an invalid recurrence rule. The recurrence is scheduled to end before the event begins." The resolution offered is to delete the event. I chose to delete & checked the box for the option of handling this issue the same way for other occurrences on the calendar.

Problem: there is only 1 conflict left yet CC will not eliminate this last event no matter how many times I click "fix".

From the user's guide:

Q. Conflicts are showing up with invalid recurrences, but they look just fine to me. What's up with that?
A. Due to a bug in Apple's calendar framework, repeating all-day calendar events with an "end date" may erroneously show up as having a bad recurrence rule. Until Apple fixes the bug, these can be ignored.

I think this is what you're running into. I suggest just turning off this particular conflict check in prefs since it's not providing any benefit.
