... will spanning sync update their version soon, to sync this value
as well? This is a very important feature to me since all my birthday
information in my address book is stored within the contacts.

Regards,

Sascha

Sascha-

Google hasn't yet released the update to the Contacts API that will
let us handle birthdays, but they've told us it's coming soon. When
it's available, we'll work on adding birthdays to Spanning Sync. Look
for an announcement here and on the Spanning Sync Blog (http://
blog.spanningsync.com).

Thanks,
Charlie

I have google calendar called birthdays and sync that to the birhday
calendar in iCal.
Thhen I search the calender to find the birthday of a friend.

Hope that helps

Hi Bill,

I'm doing it the same way... and also these calendar entries are
synced to my device.

BUT: The information in the contact itself is missing on the device...
so when I want to know when Person X has birthday, I am not able to
look into my contact's profile on the device, because it's not getting
synced by google contacts (using google android phone which syncs with
google contacts).

But thank you very much anyway!

Sascha
