Disable automatic syncing?

I'm running into an issue where I use Spanning Sync to keep my
calendar synced between iCal and Google Apps. I also you Missing Sync
to sync iCal with my Blackberry Bold. The problem is that whenever I
sync my Blackberry with iCal Spanning Sync detects that changes are
happening and it starts syncing right away. Both pieces of software
are trying to access Apple Sync Services and the result is that my
Blackberry is not syncing up and Spanning Sync takes forever to sync.
Is there a way to change a preference file so that Spanning Sync only
syncs on the desired interval (30 minutes)?

Hi,

It sounds like the Blackberry is causing Spanning Sync to trickle
sync. You can turn of trickle syncing by pasting this line into a
Terminal window:

defaults write com.spanningsync noTrickleSyncing -bool YES
(Be sure to press return after pasting.)

Then, logout of your Mac OS X account and back in again.

That should take care of the problem.
