I am syncing between Address Book and my Palm Pre using Google
Contacts. When I enter a new contact in Address Book, I am getting
vertical rectangles in between words in the contact name and address.
Once I correct it in my Pre, it seems to fix. Is this happening to
anyone else? I would like to find a way to globally correct this or
it is going to take me hours to fix each one. Thank you!

Hi,

It sounds like you're seeing the formatting characters that were used
in Spanning Sync 2 because of the formatting differences between
Apple's Address Book and Google contacts. You should use Spanning
Sync's Gmail compatibility mode when syncing contacts in Spanning Sync
2:

* Open Spanning Sync
* Select the Contacts tab
* Uncheck and then re-check the "Sync contacts" checkbox
* Choose "Preserve Gmail compatibility" and click "OK"
* Make some small change to one of your contacts in Address Book (to
force an update on the next sync)
* Sync

After that you'll probably need to replace all your contact data on
the phone with a new set.

Thanks,

Byron
