Unable to contact Google or authentication failed? SS servers down?

This morning I started to get this error. I tried to log on again with
my username and password but I still get this error... servers down
today?

Hi Marco,

You're experiencing a Google outage that's preventing us from
accessing your account on your behalf. This is probably due to some
upgrades Google's making behind the scenes and should clear up
whenever they're done doing whatever it is they're doing.
Unfortunately, you'll have to wait it out with the rest of us. I'm
sorry I don't have a better answer for you.

I am trying to setup Spanning Sync on three computers. I was able to login on my desktop. When I try signing into Spanning Sync on one of my MacBooks, I receive the error: "Google couldn't be contacted or authentication failed. Please check your name and password." I checked my name and password by logging into Google again, but I still cannot login. This has been going on for two days. What is the problem?
