Does Spanning Sync work with Google Apps using SAML SSO?

The Spanning Sync website says that it will work with Google Apps and my organization uses SAML SSO with Google Apps to authenticate users to our own OpenLDAP server.  When I try to run Spanning Sync, it fails to authenticate.  I'm 100% sure I'm providing the proper credentials; I'm assuming Spanning Sync is trying to authenticate to Google directly and doesn't support the SAML SSO.  Other applications I've used have workaround for this, but I have not been able to successfully google any solution for Spanning Sync.
