When is group sync'ing coming?

Hi
I've bought Spanning Tools and cleaned my contacts. I've then reset
the Google contacts as described by you, but then I realized that
group membership is still not sync'ed if I'm right. When is group
synchronization coming?

We haven't announced any plans to support group syncing. We're still
trying to get a feel for how many people would benefit from it. It
sounds like we should add you to that list. :-)

This is a huge need. Without group functionality, we're only 50%
pregnant... This is a must have for me. I think that there would be
many many others that want this, but as you know, many folks don't
enter forums until there is a total melt-down of their app - so you
may not be getting a real indication of importance. (They may not know
of your forum's poll). FWIW.

it was just that after the full reset of my Google contacts, I had
lost all my group associations which I had entered in Google contacts
AND in my OS X address book in parallel manually, which was quite some
work. I think, you should add this information as a comment in your
message box where you recommend the reset. I probably wouldn't have
done the reset then.

Don't get me wrong, Spanning Sync is a great piece of software and it
helps me a lot. It's just that if group sync was possible too, you
would get very close to the perfect sync =;-). Why don't you start a
vote on your site on this (and/or other features)?

I need sync groups from my contact list too, because the thing that i
want to do, is mantain my office address book and not mix it with my
personal stuff, so the groups is really neccesary for me.

discovering that groups are not being synced. Contact syncing is not
exactly helpful without groups.

Ditto on the dealbreaker without group sync. My understanding,
however, is that this is an issue with the google API. I have yet to
find *any* solution to the problem, after looking fairly hard. If
anyone has had better luck, I would love to hear about it.

As Snow Leopard can do normal syncing out-of-the-box, I guess
SpanningSync should add group syncing to outperform the default sync.

From the way I understand it the google api doesn't allow for group sync yet. The folks at ss have said this before and will impliment this when it becomes available.

It wasn't clear to me that group syncing wasn't supported. I assumed
it was and got a rude shock. I agree it would be more than helpful.
