Hello everyone,

My name is Norberto and I'm from Argentina. I'm a classic pattern models lover.
I'm finishing a Super Kaos 60. I've built it from the RCM plans.
The wing is foam sheeted with balsa. The covering is performed with UltraCote.
I will use a new Super Tigre G-60 Blue Head engine with an APC 11x8 prop. The fuel tank is a round Kato 12oz. The servos will be five Futaba S-3010.
I still don't know if I will use NiMH or LiPo
When fully completed I will take the weight of the model.

Best regards from Argentina!

Wow!!  Looks nice Norberto.  I really like the period color scheme too.

Great job Norberto. The Blue Head looks right at home in the nose.

Welcome ot the SPA Discussion List, Norberto. I've watched your builds on RCGroups - you do excellent work. That's a nice color scheme and I love the G60 Bluehead - a classic engine for a classic pattern plane. Do you have a photo of the bottom of the wing? Which Ultracote Red did you use?

Thanks for the welcome!
I have used Ultracote True Red. (Ferrari Red for Oracover)

Norberto;

A pleasure to have you with us on this Discussion List.  It doesn't matter what country you're from, vintage pattern flying has the same appeal wherever you are, and we all share a common interest.

Way to go!

If you don't already have the latest newsletter, let me include it for you.

That is a TRUE "memory-maker", Norberto.  Please keep us informed via this venue of the success you have flying that beautiful bird.

Looks very nice Norbeto.  What class do you fly?  Please let us know how it performs for you and any adjustments you make after flying it.

Thanks to everbody for your comments.
I only must to hold the fuel tank in place, battery and receiver, and then make the test flight.
I'm a professional model airplanes builder. I'm all day working with planes but I don't have time for my own planes...

Best regards,

Hello,
Today I made the maiden flight of my super Kaos.
The weight ready to fly is 2760g (6lb 1oz) without fuel. The fuel used was 80% methanol, 20% castor. The prop is an APC 11x7
The takeoff was perfect and only need a couple of left aileron trim clicks and a few of down elevator trim clicks. There was a slight breeze and the model was very firm in his flight. Although the engine is very new and I did not tune it too lean, it shows more than enough power.
I only did two flights but next time I go to the airfield do some more and try to make a video.
The model has a wonderful flight and the engine has a perfect performance, pretty quiet.
I am very happy with my Super Kaos!

Best regards,
Norberto

Norberto, you’re really a Master Builder! I also liked a lot the set of pictures showing the assembly sequence!

You told us you do this for a living, right? Well, you are very good at it!
