Knoxvilles contest

COME on Guys, get signed up for Knoxvilles contest next weekend.
There’s a lot of planning and energy spent putting on a contest, and the least we can do is to support the clubs that are hosting, and shutting down the field for us.

Hi Jamie,

Yes you're correct it is a lot of work and fun at the same time at least for me. BUT and this is not directed at Jimmy but all the  CD/EC people.  We have very poor promotion of our hobby/sport. Websites are obsolete except for purchasing and I know people will argue about this all day and are anti Social Media but if you look at any of the SIG and how they promote or even rc companies it is more direct and interactive than a mail list or a website.   Just look at our mail list hardly any posts. That's why the SPA social media group was formed to promote and build a buzz about contests, building and other old school pattern stuff. 

It only takes a few minutes to make a post that will hit 1575 people vs the members only mail list and the website.

I was planning on flying next week but life has thrown Missy and myself a curve with both of our mothers having health issues and she is in FL now with her mom and I have been running back and forth  to New Bern NC plus running my business.

Yes We have put in some effort.. KCRC had club members volunteered for around 14hrs of work last weekend to re finish our runway!! Not just for SPA guys.. But SPA guys may be the first to fly off the newly finished tarmac!

All please sign up.. BTW long time SPA'rs may be asked to judge higher classes. So read thru the maneuver guides.  As of now I don't have anyone to judge to Masters. 

Maybe a new rule.. "judge not lest ye be judged" will be changed to "you shall judge if you want to be judged"! hehe

We should do like the Pattern Nats.. you want to fly you have to judge.
