Friends,

Today many people sort their email by thread or conversation, especially on their cell phones. That is, all emails with the same words in the SUBJECT line are grouped together for easier reading. That's very helpful to some – like me – until someone changes the subject of the conversation without changing the subject of the email. It then becomes VERY CONFUSING. It also make it very difficult to search old messages for needed information when the information in the email doesn't apply to the subject.

Please do one of the following when you change the subject of a discussion.

  • This is the PREFERRED method. Start an entirely new thread/conversation. Create a new email and address it to SPAme...@googlegroups.com and give it an appropriate subject. Simply add the email address above to your address book and it will be ready to use the next time you want to start a conversation.

  • Click "Reply", then DELETE the ENTIRE OLD EMAIL CONTENT and change the subject. DO NOT PUT “New subject” – was “old Subject” – that doesn’t help, at least not on iPhones. Replace the ENTIRE SUBJECT LINE with the new subject.

BTW – ALL old conversations and emails can be found on our Google group webpage. The URL is https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/spamembers.

Thanks for your help and feel free to contract me if you have questions.

Jim, you are right, and I for on have to apologize for switching from the Piper Cub to “good old days” and then to Single Channel/Rudder Only. But in my last messages I realized that and I changed the subject!

I didn’t cancel the previous messages, thou… I have to keep that in mind!

Thanks for the advice!

Beppe

Dear SPA Group:

DaveC here (a new member), and a search for one Curt Oberg, a long-time RCer who's been big with Gordon Anderson's great MicroStar 2000 Tx computer encoder board (as I am, too!), sort-of "led" me here.

Please let me know if Curt's still with your group, and how to get in touch with him...an acquaintance of mine is interested in getting at least one "MS2K" encoder for their needs. and as I spoke to Gordon with a phone call within the last hour, Curt is the one that Gordon recommended for a contact.

Thanks in advance and Yours Sincerely,

DaveC

Dave,

You can contact me at obe...@cox.net about your MS2K encoder needs, I will try to be of help.  Other SPA members may not know of the MS2K encoder, it was designed to update the old old “metal box” transmitters like the old ProLines, Krafts, etc. to a modern programmable transmitter that has most of the whistles and bells of the modern r/c transmitters.  Attached is a picture of one of my conversions.
