Perhaps it is naive the way I continue to hold this hope spark in my hands, the hope spark of someday peace, peace is possible, we can figure this out somehow, someday. The way I insist on holding onto hope, even now, especially now.
But I do. I never thought I would see Israel have peace with Jordan or Egypt in my lifetime, and yet both of these came to pass. Other miraculous things can come to pass as well. I will keep whispering to the spark of hope, saying live, live, thrive.
The hope sparks that I hold, tend to and cultivate in times of hopelessness and at all times are not just related to this particular, devastating-for-everyone, terrifying and grim situation of grief and despair.
Tiny Hope Village, a 501 (c) Public Nonprofit Charity is a tiny home community in Byran, Texas that will provide permanent housing solutions for people that have experienced homelessness. Tiny Hope Village will be a community for single people and married couples who want to be part of the community and who want to commit to the work of getting people into homes.
On October 25, 2019, thanks to the donations of hundreds of people who are passionate about ending homelessness, we purchased 7 acres of land outright. Now we need to put in infrastructure and begin building homes. All donations at this point will go towards building the tiny house community on the land that we purchased.

What will the affordable housing look like?
The creation of new YWCA rental units will be inclusive to diverse populations from all walks of life. A mix of one, two and three-bedroom rental units will accommodate adults, youth and families.
Each tiny home will be equipped with a full kitchen, bathroom, laundry, private bedrooms and living room providing dignity and comfort.
I think we can all relate to hope. You might not have even realised it but most of us most of the time are hoping for something. Did you hope for the lockdowns to ease and to see family again? Did you hope for that long awaited hug from a friend? Did you hope for the sun to shine so you could spend time in the garden without turning blue? Did you hope for that job offer or a family member to get well again?
We have a hope that Jesus can turn things around. We have an even bigger hope that one day, for anyone who believes in Jesus, all pain and suffering will be gone because He conquered death. Finally, we can be grieved, we can weep, we can be outraged at what has happened because Jesus is too.
The treatment could mean an end to invasive surgery as well as powerful chemotherapy drugs that can cause nausea and hair loss. It will bring hope to tens of thousands of people undergoing traditional treatments that can last months.
