Hurricane Irene Clean Up/Cleaning Buckets

Dear Members and Friends of Park Avenue United Methodist Church,

Hurricane Irene has left a great deal of destruction in her wake,
especially in upstate NY where many of our smaller churches are. In
order to help those in need, UMCOR has put out a call for “cleaning
buckets” (formerly known as “flood buckets”) . These buckets are
filled with great supplies to handle the heavy clean-up that is going
to be happening for some time to come.

PAUMC wants to help! So we are collecting supplies from now through
Sunday, Sept. 18th, and then the youth and anyone else who would like
to will assemble buckets at church following our Homecoming
celebration. Please consider buying several of one or two items. If
you are not sure what items to buy, contact Pastor Mandy
(ma...@parkavemethodist.org) who is coordinating the effort. Each
bucket costs approximately $55 to make so financial donations are also
welcome.
