I hope I am not posting a wrong question in this forum. This is regarding the kind of system that I should look for while
analysing large data using SPACECAP.
If possible I would like to know the configuration of the 'fast computer' mentioned in the SPACECAP documentation used for running the sample data set.
Mainly the processor type, speed, size and the RAM speed etc...
Unlike the 9.5 hours mentioned in the documentation it took around 16 hrs for me to analyse the same sample data set on my system.
I would also like to know if any further memory specifications are to be made while loading SPACECAP from R.
Thanks a lot for any suggestion in this regard.

Dear Ravi:

I am sorry, I do not exactly know the configuration of the system that was involved during the test. Mike Meredith carried this test out and he may respond. However, you could also consider using a slightly courser grid cell size to hasten speed of the analysis if the biology of the species you are talking about permits this.
