Dear all, I got this error message when I run SCR model in SPACECAP. Any help please. I have no idea what is happening and I already checked my input data files. Thank you very much.

I use 0.1km2 for potential homerange size. When I thought that the problem is that I have so many camera traps that have no detection, I tried to removed all the unworked camera traps. But the error is the same. Please kindly help me to solve with this and attached are the working csv files. Thank you very much.

Hi:

It seems to me from your data that you have no spatial recaptures.
Only one individual has been recaptured, but only at the same
location. So there is no information available for SPACECAP/SCR model
to estimate the spatial components here. Hence, there is a fundamental
estimation problem.

Perhaps, reducing the spacing between detectors will help obtain some
spatial recaptures.

Regards
Arjun

Thanks Dr.Arjun for your clarification. I think that the model will work well if I got detected individuals at the detectors and the recapture rate is much less important to be feed in the model. The traps spacing is not too far and the recapture individuals are low because of the nature of the species, here crocodile, I think. As I couldn't reduce the detectors' spacing (already done surveyed), is there any other feasible solution for the attached data to run SCR model. Thank you very much indeed.

Hi Arjun, and all
Is there any requirement for minimum this re-capture rate for this size of total capture for theSPACECAP analysis to work best?
Thank you

Dear Dr.Arjun, I tried to reduce the detectors’ spacing and increase the recapture Individuals as you suggested but still got same error info as I mentioned before. Therefore I would like to know whether all the detectors need to have detections and recapturements while running SCR models. Thanks much.
