Hi,

We had put deadline for the site 17th Dec. It's today :) It seems that
we will not be able to keep deadline. However, situation does not look
that bad. We have a server (actually two). Servergy provides us one
dedicated server with root access (with enough punch!). That means, we
have the tools to make what ever we want.

I'll start making installations as soon as I come back home this
evening. To launch the site, we need the graphical design and layout.

To another issue. If we are making live video stream from the event, I
have a guy who's willing and capable of doing it. His system has been
used in various events in New Factory, for example MeeGo Summit FI,
Devaamo Summit, New Factory Open.

Hi,
sorry I've been a bit busier than I thought. I did install the Conference Organizin Distribution of Drupal. It seems to have lots of features we could need like timetable planning, sponsor management etc. However I was not able to get a theme done for that one yet. All the nice responsive base layouts are for Drupal 7 and COD runs on version 6. No biggie, but would have helped.

Instead I made this static placeholder page, which we can just throw on the server without any configuration. The mailing list subscribtion points to devaamo mailing list atm. I'll share a link to the page once I get hands on my laptop.

Here's how it looks like:

I should probably remove the startitup thingy for now and make the spaceapps logo bigger.

This is a good idea. Let's put that placeholder with email address field
stuff online. It's easy, we can get it there now.

Situation is that we have at the moment two servers. One is provided by
Devaamo friends (but not directly devaamo afaik). Domain name points now
to that server and I have enough admin rights to put stuff there. I'd
say that we put that placeholder site there.

Second server is the Servergy server (with root access as mentioned
before). Now we have time to build stuff there and when it's ready, we
just which the binding in DNS settings from "devaamo" server to
"servery" server. Simple as pie.

How's that as plan?

I dropped the page to http://spaceship.fi
I disabled (commented out) the submit button for now.

I'll zip the whole folder. At least the fonts folder was missing.

Added the fonts there too. Also dm8tbr said they can host our mailing
list at Devaamo servers. He'll setup the list asap. Using Google Groups
in this might be a bit tricky. As soon as we have the mailing list in
place, we can replace stuff in the page and enable submit button. That
should be around tomorrow (I guess).
