In case Anyone comes here with a similar problem, I figured out that I can make the sticker in photos and click copy instead of Add Sticker and then go to WhatsApp, put it in a text box (i did it to myself) and click paste, you then get asked if you want to send as a sticker and you say yes. The sticker is then saved into your stickers on WhatsApp. To me they look clunkier than the first ones I made that did save straight into WhatsApp. I wonder if a recent update has made this more difficult...
Thanks - that worked for me! Previously stickers I'd created from photos appeared in my whatsapp sticker library, but recently that's stopped working. The sticker is still created but I don't know where it's stored now. Your copy/paste solution is a good workaround until it's fixed, cheers.
Now that you have a floating layer with the actual sticker content, you can remove the background by deleting the underneath layer. In the layers window, right click it and then click Delete Layer in the context menu.
Now that you finished cutting, you should only have one layer that covers the whole canvas and contains the sticker at the center. If you have more layers, merge them down. In the layers window, right click the top most layer and click Merge Down.
The border is not created yet, there is only a selection for it. Before proceeding, you might want to make it smoother by applying a Gaussian Blur. To do this, click Filters > Blur > Gaussian Blur in the menu bar and fill out the dialog form. The only relevant values are Size X and Size Y. I usually go with a value of 4 for both, just like with the border size.
WhatsApp is more complicated as it requires you to build a whole app to distribute your stickers. The good news is that WhatsApp already provides sample apps for third party stickers so you can just fork the repo and replace the sample sticker pack with your own.
I had a few hundred WhatsApp stickers on my old phone (that is still operational) now copied into my PC. The stickers weren't into categories, but added all of them to fav (don't know if this matters), but they were all in the WhatsApp Stickers folder without any subfolder structure.
I have copied all the sticker files to the WhatsApp Stickers folder of the new phone but they aren't being recognized from the WhatsApp app. I'm not using Google Drive backup because I only care for the stickers and because I try to not be too much googlelized.
WhatsApp doesn't just take images from the stickers folder and use them. It keeps a database of what stickers are registered, together with the emojis linked to each sticker and other metadata like the name of the stickers, the creator, the pack it belongs to and sometimes a link to the app they came from. You can use a local backup if you don't want to use Google, you can turn off Google Drive backup and then choose backup now to create a copy of WhatsApp, then move the files to your new phone and recover from the local backup.
Otherwise you may need to create a backup of WhatsApp on the new phone and modify the backup, but that's a bit too complicated of a process. I suggest if you can't move the data from the old phone to the new, you may be able to send all stickers to a friend from your old phone, have them forward them back to you on your new phone and select all the messages and add a star to them. The last option is just obtain all the stickers the same way you obtained them first, by going in the same groups or installing the same sticker apps.
I am experiencing the same issue on WhatsApp on a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra though it works perfectly fine on Signal. Question is who has to fix it, Samsung or WhatsApp? Regardless of who it is it should be fixed as many people are using WhatsApp and I assume it would have a bigger impact if Samsung is approaching WhatsApp in case they need to fix it than us "Users"
Yep, same here - Samsung does not seem to address this. Though stickers are working in other messengers nobody (not Samsung nor Meta) does have any interest in fixing this issue. Works on Signal, Telegram and others, not on WhatsApp. Samsung S24 Ultra with the latest upate.
So I'm busy building my own WhatsApp Stickers Pack for WhatsApp using their tutorial on the WhatsApp Website, but I'm getting this error when trying to add the stickers to WhatsApp: "There's a problem with this sticker pack and it can't be added to WhatsApp".
Basically, from my understanding, it is a naming issue in one of the image file of this sticker packs. Only use small letters, underscore(_) and numbers in the file name. And always start the file name by small letter only.
2. Select the stickers you want to export. If you want to trim the fat and grab only the best of the best, long-press one file to activate selection mode and tap on the rest of the files you want to export. If you think you can leave nothing behind, tap the three dots in the top right corner of your screen to Select all.
9. Tap the URL and on the next screen finish by hitting Add stickers. They will be easily accessible every time you tap the sticker icon to the left of the message field.
1. Open WhatsApp web in your browser and find a sticker you like in a chat. Right-click on it and choose Save image as to store the sticker as a WebP file. Repeat this step to save as many stickers as you want.

Depending on your age, you might think about stickers differently. I was first thinking about classical stickers with a white border until my Gen Z colleague revealed the world of stickers to me. So it is basically the evolution of an emoji, but more personalized and fun and used within messaging apps to express emotions and reactions, or convey messages in a more fun, visual way during conversations.
Then you need to remove the background of this image, using the tools that you have available like Photoshop, Paint or an AI photo editor like Photoroom. Depending on which tool you use, you will end up with an image with a transparent background. You can then personalize it even further with drawings, text, or other fun images.
Depending on your device and preference for mobile or desktop, there are various methods to upload stickers to WhatsApp. For those looking to curate entire collections, leveraging third-party tools is advisable. However, in my case, I simply aimed to craft a handful of enjoyable stickers to share with my friends and family.
iPhone users, take advantage of the convenience! WhatsApp's sticker functionality is fully accessible on iPhones. Within your photo library, a simple action achieves the desired effect: press and hold your thumb on the object you wish to extract from an image or one that you have previously created in an editor. Subsequently, an option will appear, allowing you create a sticker quickly.
Sometimes pictures speak a lot louder than just words. Whether you're using an Android, iOS, or web device, expressing yourself has never been simpler and more fun. Have a blast experimenting with different sticker packs that are already available in WhatsApp for free, and unleash your inner artist by creating your own stickers with tools like Photoroom for that extra pop!

Thanksgiving is a good time of year, with a sense of thankfulness, getting together and celebrations. Thanksgiving for me is an expression of gratitude, not only on the personal side but on professional as well (I started in Salesforce a decade back, in Q4 2008 only).
Salesforce did wonders and transformed careers of so many of us, every now and when its quite easy to run into a success story of someone not only very technical but from diverse backgrounds, education and work history. There is always a sense of giving back and help each other, and vibe around the same is quite strong as well. Again, there are many heartwarming stories of people inspiring, helping and making so many others successful.
To express gratitude and celebrate this warmth, and giving back. Team Concretio decided to come up with WhatsApp and iMessage stickers based on popular Salesforce characters like Astro, Codey, Einstein, and Appy. We felt it will be a great expression of gratitude for all Salesforce Ohana around the world to express the same using special Thanksgiving stickers based on these Salesforce chars.
