The UNC Healthcare Case Competition is an interprofessional event designed to leverage students’ unique learning, development, and career experiences by challenging them to develop an innovative solution to a relevant and timely healthcare issue. This is a great venue for graduate students to showcase their leadership, critical thinking, creativity, and network with other future healthcare leaders.
Key Information:
- Teams must be comprised of 4-5 individuals across 2 or more disciplines (business, dentistry, public health, medicine, pharmacy, nursing, etc). If you cannot put together a full team, do not worry because you can sign up as a free agent, and we will help put teams together for individuals or smaller groups looking to compete. So if you are interested, please sign up!
- The top team from the UNC Internal Round will receive a $1,000 cash prize and represent UNC in the Final External Round of the competition on Friday, Nov. 13 at the virtual UNC Healthcare Conference and compete for a grand prize ($10,000)!

Thursday, October 29 – Kick-Off Meeting & Case Distribution
Friday, November 6, 11:59PM ET – Internal Round Case Presentation Submission
Saturday, November 7, 9:30AM - 3:00PM ET – Virtual Internal Round Presentations

UNC Interdisciplinary Healthcare Case Competition Registration
Registration for the Internal Round of the 2020 UNC Interdisciplinary Healthcare Case Competition opens October 12th!
Teams of 4-5 graduate students can register online and find more information at http://mbahealthcare.web.unc.edu/club-activities/healthcare-case-competition/ .
As a reminder:
- Each team of 4-5 students must have at least two disciplines represented—e.g. business, public health, pharmacy, medicine, nursing, etc. (dual degree students may fulfill this requirement).
- Internal Round Presentations will take place Saturday, 11/07. The winning team will then represent UNC in the Final External Round at the UNC Healthcare Conference on Friday, 11/13, where they will compete against finalist teams from other universities for a grand prize ($10,000).
