Awarded “Best New Plant Source” by Atlanta Magazine, Grant Park’s Garden*Hood welcomes Spring with a series of events showcasing the very best plants, expertise, creativity and atmosphere.
This Saturday, March 20, 11 am – 3 pm experienced and novice gardeners can learn from the best when Garden*Hood kicks off its Garden Star Saturdays with rare plant explorer Scott McMahan and acclaimed garden designer David McMullin. This is not another boring lecture, but a one-on-one chat with garden “celebrities.” Look for more Garden Star Saturdays throughout the Spring.
On Saturday, April 17, 11 am – 2 pm, Garden*Hood invites you to Plant Atlanta Day featuring TV host and author, Erica Glasener chatting one-on-one with customers about proven plant combinations for Atlanta gardens. Her new book "Proven Plants: Southern Gardens" will be available for purchase and for signing. Bring the whole family! While you shop and learn more about gardening, the kids can dig into Earth-friendly activities designed just for them. The local school with the most families participating in Plant Atlanta Day will win a tree to plant on campus.
Other opportunities for gardeners to “Start Fresh” this Spring include: the Good Food Festival (May 1) and the Funky Garden Art Show (June 20).
