New Fig Tree

Hello All,

I transplanted a cutting from a lower branch of a small fig tree that had already made roots .  (Turkey fig.)  It spent several months deciding what to do in a one-gallon terra cotta pot, and now it is finally leafing out.  The leaves are still tiny, about the size of a thumbnail.

How do I keep this alive through the winter?  Should I take it in when it starts to get really cold?
