Meet Coach Dooley & Dr. Dirr - This Friday

UGA Fans and Gardening Enthusiasts: Take your lunch break with two
gardening legends, former football coach Vince Dooley and horticulture
professor Dr. Michael Dirr. Garden*Hood is hosting both on Friday,
May 28, 11 am - 1 pm. And better yet, it is free! This will be a
walk-about style event, not just another lecture. A unique
opportunity you won't find anywhere else!

Over 20 years, Dooley has turned the land around his Athens home into
a horticultural showplace that has been chronicled in words,
photographs and paintings in his latest book, "Vince Dooley's Garden:
A Horticultural Journey of a Football Coach."

University of Georgia horticulture professor Michael Dirr has
introduced more than 100 new cultivars into the nursery trade. His
"Manual of Woody Landscape Plants is the leading horticultural text,
and, along with his Reference Manual of Woody Plant Propagation, has
become the "Bible" for the green industry.

Their books will be available for purchase and for signing.

Garden*Hood is located in Grant Park at 347-353 Boulevard, Atlanta, GA
30312. Hours are Wednesday through Sunday, 10 am - 6 pm. For more
