Hi,
I am trying to use an old "Tritest 50" machine for soil testing manufactured by ELE in 1990. This machine was originally controlled by Gen200 - Ver.1.4 software based on "Sciemetric Model 802 REV 2a" card. The system was installed in a PC running Windows 98 system. The Sciemetric Modle 802 REV 2a card has a 50 pin I/O port which normally connects to the instruments using a 50-conductor ribbon cable known as the Sciemetric Bus, and is approximately 2.5 inches long. I need to connect this port to the I/O port in Tritest via its 25pin D-type serial port. I am looking for pin-out details of these ports in order to construct a cable to connect the 50-pin port in Sciemetric card to 25-pin serial port in Tritest.

I am wondering if there is anyone who is still using this arrangement. I would greatly appreciate if someone can help me find this information since these instruments are out of production and therefore has very limited support from the manufacturers.

Thanks and have a nice day!

Priyantha
