A single user managed to use up about a day's quota (free and paid) in
a few hours before I managed to blacklist the originating IP
address.

If anyone wants to send large numbers of requests (over 500k per day,
say), you'll have to donate a commensurate amount to cover the
resource usage, and let me know so I can increase the quotas. It adds
up to about $1 per day per 2M requests. Otherwise, the daily quota
will be consumed early and ALL requests will be refused until the
start of the next day.

I will continue to try and protect this service for free access to
lower volume users, but I can only monitor things periodically. I
just happened to catch tonight's event early by chance. No, I will
not be adding facilities to manage and fund individual quotas. You
are always free to run your own GAE app for this purpose; see
http://sowacs.org/AWSQSDownloads.aspx for downloads.

For more information, please see the AWSQS Terms of Service
http://sowacs.appspot.com/AWS/TOS.htm and Frequently Asked Questions

Thanks for your time; it has been a pleasure serving you.
