Did we really sign up for this game?

Sequence of current events force you to think as a common resident are you being played by someone when you never wanted to be part of this game in the first place.

We all invested our life savings to live in a community that would make our life easier and make for a great return on investments. Here we stand with sub standard facilities, diminishing property value, zero transparency all in midst of political storm that has one common denominator…egos of the elected bodies who are not even a popular vote. Hardly one third of us end up voting these people (and that’s our problem) with our own limited view of issues around condominiums, low rise, high rise, so called premium towers that becomes a great opportunity(read as gap) for these individuals to play this game.

Some of us who have been living here since beginning when builder was professionally managing it all, those glorious days when problems were there but these problems never existed. It all started when first RWA was instituted, without us noticing the elected members back then made us the game. They set the precedence of using laws, bye-laws, legal recourse etc. as a measure to divide the community.

All subsequent bodies followed the suit and sought it as the only measure to look for answers. For something that should have been handled amicably within the members of community we have been making external bodies of lawyers, local politicians, registrars, enquiry officers and what not making money at our expense. Don’t see an end to this saga unless residents take a collective call to rethink about the problem statement.

This email is an attempt to humbly request elected members (current and previous) to sit down and have a sensible dialogue to resolve it once and for all. Community service is what you signed up for in the first place, why make yourself or anything else bigger than that cause. Let us save time and money for productive cause.

This game might have been a brain child of few notorious individuals in the beginning but we can choose to break that cycle now.

Can we end this game please?

May sanity prevail.

Cheers,

Sanjay

Sanjay,  could not agree to you more - it is our hard earned money at stake here.  I hope that is the realization of our members.

I am sure a good dialogue could help alleviate the situation.  And let's put together some metrics to help us - that way we can measure the efficacy of the service provider, the elected representatives and the participation of individuals.  With the right intent, there could be a solution to drive forward.

Actions could help.
