Dear Residents
The RWA is halfway through its term, and in all this time, the only significant action it has taken is making illegal decisions. And when someone objects, they simply start the blame game and file a case against them.
The RWA team promised before the elections that they would hold monthly open house meetings, but they only remembered this after almost 18 months. It's a good thing, better late than never.
This open house was called after residents highlighted the contradictions in the manifesto, which promised monthly open house meetings. *It's very simple: If an RWA starts doing illegal work, they will have to correct themselves, and we cannot tolerate illegality.*
Here are some important things for residents to think for the betterment of our Society:
*Forcible illegal collections by the RWA:*
1. *Charging residents for the WTP is illegal* (because the total expenditure on this was 145,0000 + GST, which we paid during our tenure without burdening the residents because the funds were available).
*If they did any work on the WTP during their tenure, why didn't they show the quotation and bill to all residents?*
For HUDA water, we laid pipes for all four zones and upgraded the connections, ensuring 100% HUDA water supply to the entire Vatika City.
*If they did any work on HUDA water during their tenure, why didn't they show the quotation and bill to all residents? It is illegal to collect money from residents without quotations and bills.*
2. *The compost plant is essential for our society, and I want it installed.* *But I don't want to be a party to any illegal activity.*
*The land where the compost plant is being installed belongs to the GMDA, where any construction is illegal.*
If the RWA has obtained permission from the government/GMDA, it should be shared.
If the government/GMDA's permission is not shared, it is illegal.
Furthermore, no quotations for the compost plant have been shared. Collecting money based solely on budget approval is illegal, and residents cannot be forcibly extorted for it.
3. If residents hadn't objected to the paved road and CCTV, invoices would have been generated by now, and all the money would have been collected without any work being done. *In the last meeting, when everyone raised the issue of calculating the amount for road and CCTV invoices, the RWA had no answer.* Simply having a budget approved in a GBM cannot simply start generating invoices based on the budget. Only a proper process of receiving offers, validating them, and then finalizing the amount will lead to the final collection of the amount from residents. *We are only debating this and have no problem paying whatever charges are determined after the award, but we cannot agree to paying any random amount based on the budget approval.*
4. *Despite the DR's order, the RWA has still not separated prepaid meters from other charges. To harass residents, they are not allowed to re-charge the meters, and the illegal collection made as a sinking fund has not yet been refunded.*
If no one takes action against the RWA's illegal activities, this team will continue to issue invoices without due process and force people to pay them.
*The elevators have been maintained by the original vendor Otis since their installation, and according to the RWA's own circular, the elevators have a lifespan of 20 years. Many elevators in Vatika City were installed in late 2013/2014 and will be replaced in 2033/2034. Until then, proper maintenance is essential, not to cause significant impact to residents.*
The RWA team has tried its best from day one to defame me, malign me, and spread false rumors. Three inquiries were even conducted against me, accusing me of financial mismanagement. However, after thorough investigations into all three inquiries, the Honorable District Registrar and the Honorable State Registrar have given me a clean chit.
*Despite receiving a clean chit in all three inquiries, the RWA has continued to defame me instead of apologizing.*
Respect is paramount for every individual, and it is for me too. Therefore, when they refused to apologize even after receiving a clean chit, I was forced to file a defamation case against them.
This defamation case is a personal matter against all of them, so as per the rules, they will have to fight this case privately. If these people use RWA funds to fight this case, it would be illegal and considered corruption.
We worked hard during our tenure and faced several legal cases from some of the supporters who currently control the team, but we never made them public because we believe in service before self. Therefore, if anyone commits any illegal act, it is my duty and the duty of all residents to stop it.
*Finally, I reiterate, as I have always said, that we want society to function and develop, but processes and legal methods need to be followed.*
I hope all residents will take the above message positively and fight for their rights.
Regards
