I just have one question, Is this a paid service? And if yes, who is paying for it, and how much?

We as residents have already paid for our parkings, and for the RFID tags too... So I hope our intelligent RWA hasn't put an additional fancy expense on our heads, just so they can sign new contracts!

Dear Mr.Dogra,

Thankyou for explaining the features of your product.
(It seems like someone sold us a Mercedes (of sorts) whereas a Honda/Toyota would've sufficed).

Anyway, I would not like to debate further & close this communication with 2 simple questions :-

  1. Can you please activate my (and other residents’) parking tag without disclosing our car details? We can download your App for activation purpose and later delete it with a “nice" review on App Store.
  2. If your answer to above question is NO, can you submit an affidavit (on a stamp paper) to our society that your company shall not divulge our details to any other organisation outside your company for any purpose ?

You can just reply in YES or NO and we shall close this communication. No need to give any justification🙏.
Your answer shall set course to our (residents’) future relationship with your company.

Thanks,
Jasvinder Singh

PS: Your reasoning of asking our personal details (on pretext of examples like VAHAN portal & KYC details) is not justified because you are neither a Govt organisation nor a bank which is mandated to collect details of its customers. You are a private firm & must provide an option to your customers to keep their personal information confidential (because “Right to Privacy” is still guaranteed by law).

Dear Sir,

Greetings from Park+,

We are glad that your society has chosen to install the SMART RFID BOOM BARRIER SYSTEM which is altogether a different stuff from other locally available products in the market in this segment. Below are the pointers which makes this different from others

- In order to maintain the security of the society and residents we ensure that notifications of vehicle movements are being sent to the users whenever the vehicle is either making entry or exit via our RFID boom barrier system. This helps the user to know the actual movement of their vehicle and eventually enhances the security of the same. To make this happen we need to know few basic details of the user just like KYC so that we can send notifications to the correct user,

- In case of any query or complaint the user can directly raise his/her concerns via application rather than writing emails / calls which leads to multiple chain of communications to gather details from user in-place of this use of app it directly gives basic information from system like society name, user name, RFID Tag ID  etc. by which user experience increases with quick resolution.

- We have an additional security feature of locking the tag via application, with which the vehicle can be restricted from making an exit from the RFID boom barrier. If the user has locked the RFID tag and he/she tries to exit from the society then in that case the boom barrier will not open automatically and simultaneously an alert notification is being sent to the registered mobile number to avoid any kind of theft or unauthorized access of the vehicle.

- For this facility the system operates with continuous internet connectivity so that it works on a real time basis and in case the internet is down we notify the user as well via our system to give the smooth experience.

In the end the basic data of any individual's four wheeler is readily available on the government website Vahan.nic.in , and any individual can see this data by just entering the vehicle registration number. These details are just entered in the application for completion of  the know your customer process so that we can serve you in a better manner and it has no other requirement other than that.

The tag needs to be activated via application only, still if you feel that above mentioned safety features are not required at your end, then with a heavy heart we can suggest you to delete the application post successful activation of your RFID tag.

In case any more suggestions please do share with us, it would definitely help us to improve further.

Nishant Dogra

Dear Mr.Dogra

I am a resident (owner) of an apartment at Vatika City and our society has recently procured car-parking barrier equipment from your company.

While delivering the RFID tag your people (camping in our society) are illicitly collecting private information about our vehicles (Registration number, make, model, owner name, phone number) by forcing us to download your App and to enter all these details on it.

May I kindly ask what is the rocket science you are using in your boom-barriers that they cannot connect with the RFID tag pasted on car without having all our personal (car) information ?

Your people are saying we can delete the App later (and the RFID tag will keep working) but not before we have once downloaded it entered over all our personal information in it. Sir, doesn't this mean the purpose of forcing us to download your App is something else & not really about the equipment we have procured ?

I hereby urge you to please activate my RFID tag (and of all other residents of the society) without asking any personal information. Our RWA has already furnished you the names of legitimate parking owners of the society & that should be enough for you to hand over the tags. You (as a supplier) have no legitimacy of obtaining any further personal information of the residents.

If you want us to download your App just for raking up your numbers on Google App-store, we don’t mind doing that & later deleting it. But don’t ask for personal information.

Thanks,
Jasvinder Singh
