Last Day to Sign onto Letter to House and Senate Appropriators that Calls for Increase to FY14 THUD Funding!   Today is the final day to add your organization to the large and growing coalition calling for an increase to the FY14 Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies (THUD) 302(b) subcommittee allocation. More than 2,300 organizations nationwide have signed onto a letter to House and Senate appropriators that closes today.   Additional Signers are needed today!    The House and Senate are expected to set their 302(b) allocations as early as the first full week of May. The letter calls for an increase to the THUD allocation, noting the importance of affordable housing, community development and transportation funding to low income households and underserved communities.   “In these tight times, the THUD bill’s investments yield high rates of social and economic return, and an adequate THUD allocation should be a high priority. Yet these investments have been cut sharply in recent years.” the letter says.
