Washington may be resigned to letting Sequestration happen. Are YOU? News and rhetoric out of DC suggest increasing acceptance among lawmakers that our worst nightmares will come true. Pennsylvania's most vulnerable citizens stand to lose. Under H.R. 8 American Taxpayer Relief, 8.2% across-the-board cuts are scheduled to occur in MARCH. PA will suffer a loss of $153 Million in HUD funding. Please visit our Sequestration Resource Page for information and to get involved. Half in Ten, the campaign to cut poverty in half in 10 years, has launched #TalkPoverty, an opportunity to use social media to inspire President Obama to address struggling families in his State of the Union address on February 12. Get the details here. back to top From Bucks County to Allegheny County, continuums of care conducted a sixth annual census of the unsheltered population (Point-In-Time Survey). These counts are required by HUD to determine funding priorities and track trends in homelessness. For perspective on HUD's 2012 Point-In-Time Estimates of Homelessness, visit our blog.
