Our idea was to buy some large rolls and measure off the ~1lb.
quantities ourselves since Village and MakerBot don't want to go to
the trouble of anything less than 5lb.
We thought we might organize the group buy via Kickstarter.com and
give certain pledge levels different rewards ranging from colored
printed objects, up to rolls of ABS. So if you contribute $5, maybe
we send you a little widget that's the color of your choice, and if
you contribute $50 we send you a rainbow pack ( 1lb. of each color ).
The thing with Kickstarter is that it is in limited beta right now, so
we'd have to apply to be allowed to create our project.
Even if we don't use Kickstarter, we think the colored ABS group buy
is a good idea and want to get on board.
