Iget the "printer not activated error code 30". I have repeatedly reinstalled the software after downloading it a couple of times from the HP site. In looking at the print options either in the Browser, or from Quicken or from any program in Office 365, it shows the Office Jet 6600 "driver not available" in the printer options.I get the error 30 at every print attempt.

1. Downloaded and Reinstalled the software and reinstalled the printer object (several times). When I see the printer option for the Office Jet 6600, even after reinstalling the softwarer and reconnecting wirelessly, it displays "pinter driver not available".

Step 1. Open link: www.hp.com/contacthp

Step 2. Enter Product number or select to auto detect

Step 3. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"

Step 4. Scroll down and click: HP contact options - click on Get phone number and phone number appear.

Welcome to HP Support Forums. I came across you post and would like to help. I understand that you have an HP Officejet Pro 8660 e-All-in-One Printer and it does not print. You see an error code 20 while trying to print. I appreciate the steps you have performed and have certainly done a good job.

So far NO GOOD! Following directions as nearly as possible but without being a pretzel at 77 years old, I can't physically plug my printer into the wall outlet. It is using the same setup as always which until recently worked quite well.

It's been a few days since you last responded to my request for help. Wanted to let you know that I was doing OK until I reached "Click on it (the driver) and click remove at the bottom. Got the following message:

Hi there, obviously the latest Windows 10 update has affected the print function in MYOB payroll. It was working perfectly fine last pay last week. I note that Windows did an update. When I went to email the payslips it popped up with the 'printer not activated, error code 30' notification box. That meant I had to screenshot the payslips and copy and paste into an individual email to all employees. That is so time consuming and potential for huge error (hate to send wrong payslip to wrong person). So after doing that, I proceeded to process the Employment Information for filing PAYE with IRD. When I went to preview the EI_Return (clicked the button) lo and behold it also gave me the same error. Meant I couldn't print this important tax sheet which I use to verify the imported file in IRFile and to keep as a record of weekly EI Return from Payroll.

I would like to have this corrected please so that next Wednesday I am not faced with the same dilemma. It has always been a real hassle to fix this and it's not an easy fix. Has often meant uninstalling and multitude of other things to remedy. Equals lots of wasted time. Will wait to hear what is required. Thanks

For the record and in order to help other frustrated users, I found a work around is to close 'Outlook' email client and then when it's shut down proceed to email the payslips. Weird I know but when they are sent in payroll, then open the outlook mail client and check they've sent. They could be sitting in the out box and then send once outlook has loaded up again.

Not ideal but better than it crashing payroll and still getting to have the payslips emailed. Occassionally I found that 1 or 2 don't send, so I go back in and select just the employees that were missed and resend just their ones, but need to close Outlook again before you do that.

NOw frustrating thing is that the payslips although when viewing in MYOB payroll are portrait, they all send landscape which is harder to read and spans 2 pages. I don't know how to change that. It didn't used to do that.

I upgraded my 2020 iMac to Sonoma on Thursday night - all went well - until I went to print reports from a specific application that uses Citrix Workplace. I have a Brother All In One laser jet printer. I can print from all other applications (all Office apps), screen shots, etc but not from this one application which is critical for my job. My IT person restarted our Citrix server and he sent me a Citrix Workplace update to install but still same issue. I have restarted my iMac a few times as well. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this? Thanks.

We have two identical Mac setups that both use Citrix to connect to Blackbaud RE, an SIS/Tuition management system. One has update to Sonoma, and cannot print (giving the same error 41 message) and the other has yet to update and prints fine. Both are using identical versions of Citrix.

While Citrix's weak (they call them "fragile") printing solutions for Mac are likely part of the problem, there is something about the Sonoma update that breaks Citrix's ability to print to a local printer. Very interested to see how many people run in to this issue. If anyone reading has the same issue, please let us know the details. If I find a solution, I'll post it here.

Not for me yet. Still can't print on my office iMac to various printers with Citrix passthrough. I am able to print to one copy machine - a Kyocera - that is far away from my office, but not able to print to a Ricoh copy machine or to two HP laser printers closer to my office with Citrix passthrough. I can print to all printers direct from my iMac desktop. Our IT vendor has opened a ticket on this but has not told me that they have found a solution yet.

I'm also having the exact same problem on my office Mac where we have multiple printers set up. I'm unable to print to any of them using Citrix passthrough printing. It started happening right after I updated to Sonoma 14.0.

Agreed. I tried reinstalling to the latest version of Citrix Workspace yesterday and it did not resolve the issue on my work Mac desktop for any of the printers in my office, which includes Ricoh and Kyocera copy machines and two HP printers.

Upgraded iMac to Sonoma 14.0 and since then cannot print from Citrix environment - error code 41; No problem in printing directly from iMac. I still have Ventura 13.5.2 on my macbook, and printing from Citrix from the Macbook is no problem. Seems like a problem in interaction Sonoma - Citrix.

We have recently received multiple cases on printing issue on MAC OS Sonoma, could be a possible bug not yet confirmed so we are still working on this with our internal team . will keep you posted once we have an update.

My users reported this issue to me last week and I have found that this is an issue for Sonoma on Intel and Apple. All types of printers that map as UPD:PDF in the session get this error except for the autocreated Citrix PDF Printer. That one maps properly and when you attempt to print to it, it opens Preview but does not generate a document.

I have opened a ticket open with Citrix on this issue and submitted traces a few days ago. Citrix support told me today that Apple has made changes in Sonoma that broke their UPD and that they are working on a fix.

Our IT vendor found a workaround/solution. My office has 4 devices that we print to: a Konica copier, a Ricoh copier, and two HP Laserjets. The only printer that continued to work after the Sonoma OS upgrade was the Konica copier. The other three continued to give the error message that the printer was not activated (error code 41). Our IT vendor noticed that the back end redirected printer driver being used by the Konica copier was for an HP Laserjet 2800. The other three printers were using the Citrix Universal PDF printer drivers. Our IT vendor changed the other three printers to use the HP Laserjet 2800 printer driver under Printer Properties. All of a sudden I could print to all 4 printers again.

My work computer is a Mac Book Pro with Mac OS Sonoma 14. The printer is a Xerox Versa C605. I have been unable to print through Caterease/Citrix, following the recent update. I can print perfectly fine from Word and such, just not Caterease/Citrix. I also get the error -41 code. Please assist ?

Our vendor just found another solution but their description of what they did is very general: "Based on the information provided by our internal team, they upgraded the Citrix components of the server to a newer version and applied a printing policy based on Citrix's recommendations."

You may see a "Printer not activated, Error code-30" type error if an update or other program interfered with or broke the previously installed PDF driver used by the software. On occasion even a major Windows update has been known to break existing printer and other types of drivers. Reinstalling the driver using these easy steps should correct:

When I told it to print I hadn't looked at what printer it was trying to access in the upper part of the drop down menu for printer options that pops up after I select "print". Mine only had FAX on the MX922 listed and other printers w/o drivers that I didn't install.

I went to the bluetooth/devices in settings. Then printers/scanners and removed every printer it was showing. Then I selected "add device" and had it find the MX922/MX920 and installed it. Then, when I tried to print again that option was available in that print drop down menu. After selecting that printer it worked just fine.
