SPLM Chairperson appoints Secretaries to National, Southern and
Northern Sectors

October 4, 2008 (JUBA) -  The First Vice President of the
Republic of Sudan, President of the Government of Southern
Sudan and Chairperson of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement
(SPLM), General Salva Kiir Mayardit, has issued a Party’s Order
appointing SPLM Secretaries to the National, Southern and
Northern Sectors’ respective Secretariats.

Previous SPLM Secretariats were dissolved prior to the conduct
of the SPLM 2nd National Convention which took place in May in
Juba.

The new Secretaries were appointed after being recommended by
the SPLM Secretary General, Pagan Amum, Deputy Secretary
General for Southern Sector, Dr. Ann Itto and Deputy Secretary
General for Northern Sector, Yassir Arman, in accordance with
the SPLM Constitution of May 2008.
