In 2012, the Broward Amateur Radio Club installed the W4AB D-Star repeater in downtown Fort Lauderdale at 410 feet with excellent coverage throughout the County. We have the Icom 70cm model up on 442.450, have a great Internet connection and a robust gateway server with redundant power supplies and disk drives. We have 19 registered users and have the broadest coverage of any DStar repeater in South Florida - I have reports of it being heard in Fort Myers!

As of today, the gateway is linked to REF037C generally, but shifts automatically to the known scheduled nets. Registered users are welcome to Unlink and Link to their favorite repeaters and reflectors.

We appreciate the usage and I'd appreciate any comments on the repeater.
