Hello everyone,

My heart is full of tango joy, and my head is full of tango tips from a wonderful few days of workshops in Bend with traveling teacher Kara Wenham this past weekend. I'm excited to bring everything I learned back to our community! (Check out the attached flyer for the intensivos she offers in Buenos Aires.)

Burning Tango Festival: Don't forget to register now for Burning Tango on June 11-14 in McCloud, CA. There are still leader and couple's tickets available and they are going fast.

That means you have FIVE chances to dance tango in southern Oregon this week! All the details below, plus save the date for the next Taste of Tango at Cafe Lumina on Saturday, May 23. Bring your tango curious friends to the free beginner class at 7pm at Milonga Alegria on Saturday, May 16, and I'll see you on the dance floor!

Thursday: Ashland Practica with DJ Kyle
Friday: Argentine Tango at the Evergreen Ballroom with Dan Rossetta

DJ Marion: Marion has brought her tango life to Ashland from Paris, where she began DJing in 2012. She is grateful whenever she has the pleasure of playing music for tango events, which gives her the magical feeling of dancing with everyone on the floor at once. She especially loves the way that the variety & complexity of the orchestras and long history of tango gives us the opportunity to create a wonderful diversity of emotions that we get to build together over the course of each night of dancing. One of her favorite tango quotes is “Each tango tells you how to dance it.” She has found the Rogue Valley tango community extremely welcoming and is honored to be able to help keep it dancing!
