Hi everyone, 

Wow! What a great turnout last Tuesday with over 25 people who came to the Beginner & Intermediate classes. It was great to see all the smiles on the practice dance floor. The good news is the DanceSpace still has plenty of room for folks to drop in. Tonight on Tues, March 10 is an especially good time to join the Beginner class for just $90 for the rest of the full series or $15 to drop in and check it out. 

There are also plans in the works for more FREE "A Taste of Tango" events at Cafe Lumina. Save the date for "A Taste of Tango at Cafe Lumina on Saturday, March 28 from 6-8pm with a free beginner lesson from 6:00-6:30pm.

DJ Jazmine: With years of tango in her body and a love for listening deeply, Jazmine Dake is delighted to return to DJing! She’ll be sharing traditional tango orchestras chosen with care, curiosity, and a hint of sparkle. Her wish is to support connection, playfulness, flow, and an ease that lingers on the floor.

8 Week Beginner Argentine Tango Series
Tuesdays 6:00 – 7:00, March 3 – April 21
At the DanceSpace, 280 E Hersey St, Bldg B, Ste 10, Ashland
$100/series, $15/class, sliding scale available, drop-ins welcome

Come learn to dance Argentine Tango. At the end of the series, students will be able to feel confident and enjoy dancing in a social setting. No partner or experience required to join. If you can walk you can dance tango! The beginner class is perfect for first-time dancers or tango dancers of any level wanting to learn the opposite role or review the fundamentals.

Morgan Lindsay has been dancing tango for over 15 years. She loves sharing the improvisation, musicality, and playful partner connection of Argentine tango with everyone.

8 Week Intermediate Argentine Tango Series
Tuesdays 7:15 – 8:15 pm, March 3 – April 21
At the DanceSpace, 280 E Hersey St, Bldg B, Ste 10, Ashland
$100/series or $150 for both beginner & intermediate classes, $15/class, drop-ins welcome

Have you taken a few tango lessons, and you’re excited to dive deeper into the world of Argentine Tango? This series will focus on developing the fundamental steps and skills you need to take your dancing to the next level. Class open to everyone interested in taking on a challenge!

Kyle Asher has turned tango into his main passion in life. He focuses on musicality, the basic natural movements, and encouraging students to enjoy the dance.

Hi everyone, 

Happy almost spring! This is a full week for tango with four (four!) chances to dance at classes on Tuesday and Friday, Practica on Thursday, and Milonga Alegria on Saturday. Plus "A Taste of Tango at Cafe Lumina" is back by popular demand on Saturday, March 28 from 7-9pm in Ashland and repeats on 4th Saturdays for April 25 and May 23 too, so save those dates!

This is the personal invitation you've been waiting for to join the tango class fun tonight at the DanceSpace in Ashland. Beginner lesson at 6pm where I will be teaching the signature tango move the "Cruzada" or Cross. Intermediate class at 7:15pm where Kyle will challenge us with an interesting sequence ideal for when you want to highlight rhythm in your social dance. Both classes encourage you to drop-in for $15 for one class or $20 for both classes, sliding scale available. Details below.

Hello everyone, 

What a delightful evening at Milonga Alegría this Saturday night! A huge thank you to DJ Jazmine for creating such a magical musical flow for us to dance the night away. I loved looking out on the dance floor and seeing twelve (or more!) couples dancing. Save the date for the next  Milonga Alegría on Saturday, April 18 with special guest DJ Tejas, coming all the way from Portland.

This is another full week for tango with four chances to dance at classes on Tuesday and Friday, Practica on Thursday, and "A Taste of Tango at Cafe Lumina" is back by popular demand on Saturday, March 28 from 7-9pm in Ashland. The whole event is FREE with music by DJ Kyle and food and drink available for purchase. There is a free beginner lesson with Morgan from 7:00-7:30pm. "A Taste of Tango" will also repeat on the 4th Saturdays for April 25 and May 23, so save those dates. 

Friendly reminder about the Beginner & Intermediate tango fun tonight at the DanceSpace in Ashland. Beginner lesson at 6pm where Marion & I will review the signature tango move the "Cruzada" or Cross and focus on how to dance it musically. Intermediate class at 7:15pm where Kyle will challenge us with an interesting sequence that explores circular movements while walking on the dark side in cross system and how to get in (and out again!) Both classes encourage you to drop-in for $15 for one class or $20 for both classes, sliding scale available. More experienced dancers are encouraged to come to the beginner class and focus on learning the opposite role. Details below.
