Hi everyone, 

We had a fabulous turnout of over 20 dancers at La Milonga Alegría on Saturday night. A big thank you to everyone for coming out to make the event such a success. There were many of our long-time community members, AND some brave new tango dancers who came to their very first milonga!

Tuesday Night Classes 

This is the final week in the current Tuesday night class series that ends November 18. If you have come to any of the classes, this is your last chance to come out, thank your teachers, and celebrate everyone's hard work. 

Introduction to Argentine Tango

When: Tuesdays 6 -7 pm
Where: The Dance Space in Ashland
Cost: $15/class, $100/series. Drop-ins welcome

Intermediate Tango Class with Marion & Taran

When: Tuesdays 7:15 - 8:15pm

ANNOUNCING New Tuesday Class Series

Tara and I are SO excited to announce our new Beginner-plus and Intermediate class series with a focus on getting you ready for the social dance floor so you can go out to the milonga with confidence and all the skills and tips you need to have a great time. 

4 Week Introduction to Social Argentine Tango
Tuesdays 6:00–7:00, November 25–December 16, Taught by Morgan & Tara
$50/series or $15/class, or sliding scale by request; drop-ins welcome and no partner needed

Have you taken a few tango lessons, but you’re not quite ready for social dancing outside of class? The beginner plus series will focus on building skills and confidence to take your dancing into the “real world”.

4 Week Exploration of Intermediate Tango Skills
Tuesdays 7:15–8:15 pm, November 25–December 16, Taught by Morgan & Tara
$50/series or $15/class or sliding scale by request; drop-ins welcome and no partner needed

Ready to fine-tune your social dancing skills? The intermediate series will explore close embrace and adaptable sequences that open up a world of fun and creativity on the social dance floor.

Morgan Lindsay has been dancing tango for over 15 years. She loves sharing the improvisation, musicality, and intimate partner connection of Argentine tango with dancers of all levels.

Tara Laidlaw has been teaching dance for 20 years. She loves helping her students develop body awareness and control through curiosity, exploration, and technique.
