Hi everyone, 

Happy August! Our southern Oregon tango community continues to grow and evolve with more offerings across the region. I'm excited to congratulate Kyle on the launch of Milonga Luz de Candela! A new Tango Milonga every 2nd Friday at Candela Dance Studio in Grants Pass starting Saturday, August 14. 

Congrats also to Dan Rossetta who is launching a new class on Monday mornings at the Evergreen Ballroom from 10-11am as well as continuing his Tuesday night class from 7:45 - 8:45pm. 

My personal announcement is that as I prepare to go back to school full-time in September I am transitioning to teaching only one day a week on Sundays at the Annex in Medford. Therefore, I will not be teaching classes on Tuesdays at the DanceSpace in Ashland starting this week and for the next few months. If you are a current Tuesday night student, I'll be in touch with you soon about your options! Stay tuned for details for a new beginner series on Sundays at the Annex coming in September.

Come experience Cafe Lumina, the delightful Italian restaurant on the plaza in Ashland. They have a beautiful hardwood floor, absolutely delicious food and desserts, and are excited to host social dance events. Bring your friends to come see what Cafe Lumina and Argentine Tango are all about!

Practica is open to anyone who wants to come practice tango in a casual and inclusive atmosphere. Come with a friend or by yourself. We will all dance and learn together. There are rotating hosts who can help get you oriented if it’s your first time.

Dan Rossetta is a multi-sport athlete, teacher and coach turned dancer. He began partner dancing in 2008 and has 18 years experience dancing Argentine Tango.  More about Dan here.
