This Saturday we will have a Seminar aimed at getting people tested and
up to date on their books and rankings. Don't miss it. You have an
opportunity to get your certificates and ranking. Like usual, I will be
allowing you to skip ranks if you can correctly perform certain the
required tasks.

We will start out at 9am with warm up and some basics then move into
groups so you can work on specific things for your testing. We will get
out at 12pm to get some lunch and meet back at 1pm to finish the final
testing.

Afterwards there may be a dinner activity to be announced.

We will meet Sunday 2/23 in our regular gym at the Y from 9 til noon,
then break for lunch until 1.

The seminar will resume in the Collins Room at the Y, upstairs and
through the weight room, from 1 til 4.

Don't forget your notebooks, a snack and lunch if you'll be
brown-bagging.

My apologies for copying an error from the facebook post! We are not
meeting Saturday at all.

The Gashkyu seminar is Sunday and Sunday only. We will be in our
regular gym at the Y from 9 to noon, break until 1 for lunch, and
resume until 4 in the Collins Room upstairs.

This Thursday, 5/15, Sensei will not be leading the Beginning and
Intermediate classes due to a family scheduling conflict.

The dojo will be open and Steven will be there to help; everyone knows

We have class text books plus information on other martial arts, zen
and learning how to speak Japanese. There are books for kids and books
on Japanese history and art. We even have a giant kanji dictionary.

Every book has a card inside with its title; to borrow one, write your
name and the date on the card and replace it in the book's spot on the
shelf.

If you have books or DVDs to donate, please contact Hager Sensei.

Our 4th Annual Dojo Picnic will be at Pearce Park on Saturday, July 19.
Events will start at 10 and we will end after dinner. Park entry is $4.

Bring lunch, water and sunscreen, plus something for the potluck
dinner. We will have a barbecue available (thanks, Sky!).

Training at Teresa's 9 - noon
I'm at 5723 Jerome Prairie Rd. - turn at the driveway with the sign for
the Crow and Bear Vineyard. If the gates are closed, just approach
slowly and they'll open automatically. We're the second house on the
drive, up a rise to the left. I'll have sandwich makings, chips, drinks
etc. for lunch - pack one if you'd like something else. Bring A
NOTEBOOK AND PEN, your uniform, iaito and bokken.
Training at Budokan 2 - 4
Potluck BBQ at Lucinda's that night

Training at Budokan 9 - noon

COLDEST DAY UPDATE
We will hold Kan Geiko, Coldest Day training, on Sunday January 25.
Meet at the sand volleyball courts at All Sports (Reinhart Volunteer)
Park at 9 am.
Come in uniform with your iaito and bokken, and be sure to bring your
notebook for later.
We will brave the elements and train until 11, then go back to the dojo
for testing.

DOJO CLASSES IN JANUARY
We will hold regular classes at the Budokan on Sundays - January 4, 11
and 18
Bring your notebooks and questions and be prepared to work on what you
need for testing

Remember Beginning class is at 9 am, Intermediate at 10 and Advanced 11
- noon.
