Hi !
I am a graduate student at UW-Madison.
I am interested in trying a project out over the next two days with people who own 3D printers. It is a project with the school, it should be a lot of fun, and there is possibly some money in it.
If you own a 3D printe rand would like to help I'd be happy to talk with you ASAP.
I am sorry for the inconvenience but the project is extremely time sensitive and if you are interested I would need to hear back from you today/tonight.
I hope to hear back from you!
Best,
Matt S

Great Brad!
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.
The 3D printing project is for a student hackathon that will be taking place tonight-through-tomorrow at UW.
The objective of the project is to understand what impact groups of 3D printers, owned by separate individuals, can accomplish together.
What we were thinking, as a demo, was to "place an order" for a large number of items (e.g. 50-60 bracelets or sunglass frames with "UW Hackathon!" written across them) due in a short period of time, i.e. 1 day (ready for the end of the hackathon tomorrow at 2pm). We would then work with and coordinate people in town with 3D to get the order filled in record time.
We would happily pay you for the plastic you would be using and if it is really inconvenient then I would be willing to pay a bit more.
We think this will be a lot of fun and we would love to work with you on it.
Do you think you can help us work together to build something awesome?
Best,
Matt
PS: do you know others in the area with 3D printers??
