The International Growth Centre (IGC)
invites you to a public lecture and
discussion with Dr. Richard Newfarmer, IGC South
Sudan's Country Director, scheduled
to place on Tuesday 10th
November 2015 at 3:00 – 5:00pm at
Juba Regency Hotel.
Under the title “Towards a Policy Agenda for Sustainable Peace: Lessons from other Countries in Conflict”, Dr. Newfarmer will examine and share examples of deliberate government policies, which have helped other post-conflict countries emerge from protracted conflicts including some that have ethnic undertones as is the case in South Sudan. Thus, the purpose of the lecture is to contribute to the on-going search for a lasting and sustainable peace in South Sudan.
IGC is a DfID-financed joint venture of Oxford University and the London School of Economics, which has been working in South Sudan since 2012. The IGC provides objective, evidence-based policy analysis solely on the basis of demand from the Government, and has programs in fourteen developing countries in Africa and Asia.
We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday and please feel free to share this invitation with others.
Yours Sincerely,
--
