Welcome Ivan.  Wow who would have guessed out of 4m people in NZ there are scala users and 2 of them work on cutting edge companies.

Does jenkins now have byte code written from scala code?

Unfortunately Jenkins has lots of classes that conflict with scala's idea of package objects. Also I found a bug in scala to do with raw types (which I still need to report) which was the biggest problem I found as it was impossible to compile a Jenkins plugin against the Jenkins api.

Throw in the fact that you can only have one version of scala in a project, it would mean that you would need to upgrade all plugins at the same time. Although I hear the play2 guys are going to use another classloader to get around an issue like this to do with sbt being 2.9 and play core being 2.10. So maybe we can do something like this.
