Re: Southern Station CED Community Outreach Meeting
As you may have read in the newspaper, the San Francisco Police Department was exploring the option of adding Conducted Energy Devices (CED) to the Continuum of Force Options available to its officers. Conducted Energy Devices are commonly referred to as Tasers, which is a brand name for one version of a device used by law enforcement agencies when dealing with violent and combative suspects. The San Francisco Police Department has decided to continue their community outreach to educate the public regarding the Conducted Energy Devices.
Lt. John Sanford of the Community Relations Unit will be hosting a series of outreach meetings on the Conducted Energy Devices to educate the community. The next meeting is scheduled as follows:
Date: April 13, 2010
Time: 5:30 p.m.
Location : Yerba Buena Gardens [Mission side]
750 Howard Street; San Francisco, CA
(415) 553-1373
Please call the Community Relations Unit (415) 734-3266 or e-mail us at SFPDcommuni...@sfgov.org (e-mail is case sensitive; i.e., SFPD must be in capital letters and communityrelations must be in lower case) . I thank you in advance for your attention.
