A bill is moving through the Oregon legislature that would create an
exemption in our state's Endangered Species Act and allow for shoot-on-
sight killing of our state's small population of wolves. Please take a
moment to write to your local State Senator and tell them you oppose
the killing of innocent wolves:

I believe the exemption that they are going to be passing, allows you
to shoot them when they are NOT innocent. I support a farmers right to
protect his livestock and property.

Where is this exemption stated in the proposal? Placing guilt/innocence on a non-human being would suggest that it has inalienable rights as humans do. Killing a creature even if guilt is implied (as it is following its inherant nature) is not moral.
I do not support farmer Ignorance and blatant disregard for life. They should use non-lethal means of protecting thier assets. There are roughly a dozen or so free roaming wolves in Oregon and 1.3 million cattle.
