to Southend in Transiton Network
Hi, welcome to the email group Southend in Transition Network. It's
purpose is to enable communication for people interested in discussing
Transition in Southend, to strengthen the work of existing groups and
start up new projects.

For a while Southend in Transition was using the google group for
communication between the members of the core group of SiT, supporters
and advisors and to learn what other groups are doing. Early on I have
added local activists and leaders not directly involved in SiT but
sympathetic to its mission in a role of advisors and to break down the
barriers to smooth information flow about local projects, events and
ideas.

Feel free to post your ideas, questions, requests for help, offers of
support, info on local events/posters/leaflets here.

Please make sure the messages are focused and related to Southend and
about building resilience through local food production, local energy
production, sustainable transportation etc., reskilling and building
community capacity.

If you have found out about something interesting/inspirational which
is national or global please post it here but maybe not more then once
a week to ensure the attention remains on the here and now, on the
local.

Do you know of anyone else who would like to be added or who could
contribute in the form of an advisor? Please email me their details or
let them know of the group.

If you are worried about too many emails or already getting too many
let me know and I will switch you to a digest form of this discussion
board with all emails from that day delivered in one email. By sending
an email to the group email address all group members receive them.

I feel this group can help us become more than a sum of the parts so
enjoy writing messages and reading others posts. Stay inspired.

Kind Regards
Kamil
