Our dear Compatriots,

Once again, I join many Liberians that have been appealing to the divided ULAA leadership to see a reason to end the conflict that has divided ULAA. What good is it going to do for both ULAA to see a divided community because people want to hold on to power? Is it about power or the plight of Liberians in the US?

When the immigration bill is passed, thousands of Liberians will be on temporary immigration reprieve similar to DED/TPS. Less than 3,600 Liberians will be qualified for green card/ LPR while the rest will be granted a new status to be called Registered Provisionary Immigrant (PRI).

In February 2009, during a teleconference attended by more than 100 Liberians on DED, a conclusion was reached not to recognized one ULAA Faction over the other. COLD maintains this decision as long as there are two ULAAs regardless how they refer to each other. That is not our business. Our business and what concerns us most is our immigration status and struggle. Thanks.
