Hello SSE CodeClubbers,

I hope 2016 is off to a great start for you. As you’ve heard, Google is preparing to launch Hash Code, a programming competition for students and industry professionals (18+) across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Registration will be open until 9th February at 18:00 CET, so now is the time to encourage your colleagues and contacts ... and anyone here to sign up. The Online Qualification Round will take place on 11th February at 18:30 CET.

Please feel free to send out a reminder to members of your constituent universities, clubs and friends to let them know that registration is still open. More details can be found at the link above or further below.

Thanks,

Matthew

Have you ever wanted the chance to solve a challenge faced by engineers at Google? Here’s your shot! Hash Code is a team-based programming competition for students and professionals (18+) across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Using the programming language and tools of your choice, your team will compete to program the best solution for a challenge built by Google engineers.

The Online Qualification Round takes place on 11th February 2016 at 18:30 CET. For this round, teams can participate from wherever they’d like, including one of our Hash Code hubs. Hubs allow for teams in the same location (eg. city or university) to compete side-by-side in a more fun and exciting environment. We already have more than 150 hubs registered — and you can still sign up to organize one if you’d like!

Top scoring teams from the Online Qualification Round will be invited to Google Paris to compete in the Final Round of the competition on 19th March 2016.
