First Bicycle Tree Planting of the Season is Saturday

Hey Bikers, 

Don't forget about the Bicycle Tree Planting on Saturday.  If you would like to participate please meet at the St. Paul Lutheran Church at 3880 SE Brooklyn St by 8:15 am on Saturday, Dec 4th.  Remember there will be plenty of free food for planters.  Most tree plantings have a generous spread of vegetarian & vegan offerings.

Hello Bikers,

 

On Saturday, December 4th the new bicycle tree planting season begins!  This Friends of Trees planting will take place in the Richmond, Buckman & HAND Neighborhoods in SE Portland.  As always we’ll be hauling all of the trees, tools and people for the planting crews using bicycle trailers and cargo bikes.  Breakfast and Lunch will be fed to all participants!

 

If you would like to participate please meet at the St. Paul Lutheran Church at 3880 SE Brooklyn St by 8:15 am on Saturday, Dec 4th.  This is about a 4.5 hour commitment; you’ll be done by 1:00 pm.  Please bring your own bicycle and if you have a cargo bike or bike trailer please bring that.  Also dress for the weather as we will plant rain or shine.

I think FOT is setting most of it up...we'll know more tomorrow morning. 
 
I  have a cargo bike available if you know of anyone who is coming that needs a tree transporting bike.  They would need to come by my house before the planting to pick it up.

The next bicycle tree planting is next Saturday in the Piedmont/Woodlawn Neighborhoods on Feb 5.  If you would like to participate please meet at the Holy Redeemer Church, 25 North Rosa Parks Way at 8:30 am on Saturday, February 5th.  Remember there will be plenty of free food for planters.   Most tree plantings have a generous spread of vegetarian & vegan offerings.
